Meeting B8M Class 2 specifications, our 316B stainless steel bars and threaded rods deliver exceptional performance in demanding marine and chemical processing environments. This premium austenitic grade combines superior corrosion resistance with enhanced mechanical properties, making it especially suited for marine environments and chemical processing applications. Our 316B stainless steel bars feature excellent performance characteristics with added molybdenum to increase corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. Available in precision ground round bar and threaded rod configurations, these products excel in applications where standard 316 stainless steel's properties would be insufficient.

Available Forms

  • Round Bar: Precision ground and polished finish

Notes:

  • Properties shown are minimums except for hardness (maximum)
  • Center (core) properties may be lower than indicated by test reports which are based on values determined at ½ radius for diameters 1½" and over
  • For sizes ¾ in. in diameter and smaller, a maximum hardness of 241 HBW (100 HRB) is permitted
  • Austenitic steels in the strain-hardened condition may not show uniform properties throughout the section particularly in sizes over ¾ in. in diameter
